Economic and Religious Activities

The economy of Mongol empire was totally supported by taxation, to cover the daily activities and also payment of soldiers. A few members of the empire were exempted from taxation; these included the teachers, doctors and all the religious figure. The concept of religion was made a personal decision and people were not forced to practice any beliefs, religious tolerance with no law binding members of the society was to a particular practice had been set out, there was freedom of worship. The religious beliefs the existed before the rise of the Genghis Khan Empire were Nestorian Christianity, Shamanism, Buddhism; therefore the rise to power of Genghis Khan Empire just affirmed the importance of diver’s coexistent belief system within the people

From modern historical texts it is believed that as Genghis Khan life was almost coming to an end, he had made a lot of efforts to bring about the aspect of equality before the law within the empire, this civil state was to run under the table leadership of the appointed Yassa, this was aimed at establishing equality for everybody including the women. There was no concrete evidence to support this it was just circumstantial, there has been no evidence of any form that there ever existed discriminatory practices and policies against the women or if there was a lifting to rid the empire of it since from way before the role of women in the empire was notable. The women provided interim leadership during the transition from Töregene Khatun to that of the next male khangan who will be born.

Economy of the empire was also made active by encouragement of the free trade policy and communication; this policy also promoted free movement as well as ensured that peace was stabilized.

With very little time to life Genghis Khan knew very well that he would need to conquer more states to be able to support his own and keep it moving. His nomadic people could not run the empire; they were not experienced in the system in which the cities were ruled. This is the sole reason why he invited Khitan prince, named Chu’tsai who had been working for Jin was taken captive after the initial Mongol army was overpowered.

Chu'Tsa accepted the invitation without feeling the need for revenge since he never saw eye to eye with his own father. This acceptance was a relief to Genghis Khan, they because of the exceptional leadership, Chu’Tsai became great friends with Genghis Khan, and he eventually took over as the successor for the great Mongol Empire.
